Prof. Dr. Hansjörg Herr

Prof. Hansjörg Herr studied Economics and Pedagogy at the Free University Berlin. He graduated in 1980 with a Diploma in Economics, and in 1981 with a Diploma in Pedagogy. He completed his Doctorate with a Dr. rer. pol. at the Free University of Berlin in 1986. He finished his Habilitation (post-doctorate degree) in 1991. Prof. Herr is since 1992 Professor for Economics at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. He is also Director of the Programmes International Economics (M.A.) and Labour Policies and Globalisation (M.A.), and he is the Coordinator of the EU ASIA LINK Project. Research interests: development of the international monetary systems, the European monetary integration, and developing and transformation economies.
