Dr. Björn Schmidt

Dr. Björn B. Schmidt is currently the CFO of Blacklane. His prior positions include Managing Director of IEG – Investment Banking Group, Head of Venture Investments of Metro Group, Venture Director of ProSiebenSat.1’s incubator, General Manager of the internet investment holding of Axel Springer and Associate of Deutsche Bank’s M&A and Corporate Development team. For Deutsche Bank he has served as an expatriate in an emerging market. Dr. Schmidt earned a doctorate degree in strategic management from Universität Potsdam and graduated from Warwick Business School as well as from Kingston University London. He has been lecturing international and strategic management as well as finance at the Berlin Professional School and other universities and business schools for many years.
